Regulatory, Administrative & Government Relations

Parish & Wright’s founders have a combined 30 plus years of experience representing entities before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Railroad Commission, Texas, Legislature, and in advising electric utility and railroad clients on federal regulatory matters. Types of clients represented by the firm’s founders on these matters have included rural electric cooperatives, Fortune 500 companies, retail electric providers in Texas, oil producers, and railroads. Work performed on behalf of these clients includes: Transmission licensing, transmission rate cases, participation in regulatory rulemaking proceedings, oil field permitting, and water rights.


Business & Nonprofit

The attorneys at Parish & Wright have extensive experience advising business entities on various types of transactional matters, risk mitigation, business structures and governance. Specifically, the firm’s founders have extensive experience on advising individuals on establishing, structuring and operating nonprofit entities, including member-owned and governed nonprofits. State and local government contracting and RFP response negotiation is also within the firm's sphere of expertise, as is representing entities and individuals in Texas country music.


COMPLEX Real Estate Transactions

Parish & Wright lawyers have broad experience in various types of real estate transactions and matters. Parish & Wright attorneys have handled: Complex real estate purchase and sale transactions, easement negotiations for utility providers (including navigation of the condemnation process), various types of electric and energy lease agreements (oil, natural gas, wind, solar, etc.) environmental permitting, and landlord-tenant issues. Our attorneys also have experience with game management law and wildlife-exempt properties, including representing large landowners on leases to hunting clubs around the country.


Entertainment Law
